AMBER

After spending the last 15 years of self loading 4 trailers of Iron Ore, Copper Concentrate, Manganese, Nickel, Lithium and fuel around the Pilbara and the Kimberley, general freight including mixed dangerous goods, fuel, earthmoving equipment, livestock and carting grain as well as being a supervisor for a large fuel company and a Department of Transport HR-MC Driver trainer and Assessor in Perth and Port Hedland.... But my greatest adventure has been becoming a wife and mum!

NATIONALLY RECOGNISED
TRAINING

So with FIFO and long haul driving off the table for the next 18 years, I returned to High-Risk training for large company in Perth, something I thought would be a new and exciting challenge, what a disappointment.... minimum standards, tick and flick, no regard for the quality of information, level of training provided or the experience of trainers delivering the training..... same old horror story we hear all the time!

So here we are, a new business, a new supportive partnership with Progressive Training (RTO 5274), with fresh eyes and actual experience in the things we are training. We are filling the gap in the industry with the goal of giving transport a safer and more empowered future by providing an alternative to tick and flick training companies settling for minimum standards.

We encourage our participants and organisations to ask questions, establish what they need to do their job with confidence in their skill set, take initiative, get involved and be inspired!

We can train at your facility with your equipment and tailor packages to suit your companies' specific requirements, creating a training needs analysis and consulting on transportation of dangerous goods requirements and compliance.

MAKING TRAINING GREAT AGAIN!

WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

what a privilege it was to be asked to provide Dangerous Goods Licensing on

Christmas Island!!

Such a unique and beautiful place with interesting creatures, rich history and range of warm and welcoming cultures. I had an absolute blast and the participants seemed to enjoy themselves and gained a lot of insight into their transport requirements for their DG and non DG and some new ideas for best practice and safety initiatives.

Thanks to the IOGTA- Indian Ocean Group Training Association for your hospitality and I hope to visit again soon, these photos do not do the place justice, i think i will stick to my day job.....

It's been a hot minute since I have delivered fuel to a servo!

So Stevemac's let me tag along with their local delivery driver Rachael! luckily it all come flooding back (the memories not the fuel) and there's not been too much I have forgotten. Rachael gave me some great tips on how she remembers her processes and procedures, some of them I will pass on for sure! She's an absolute credit to her company and to the industry.

I think it's really important as a trainer that we stay current and relevant. There's nothing worse than a trainer with no relevant real world experience saying "my book says you're doing it wrong"......
No one likes that guy!

So a big thank you to Stevemac's for the opportunity and Rach for putting up with my questions, she would make a great trainer!
